Invisible Obstacle

Constantly:

 

Fighting off the instinct in me that could

sit on a couch all day and do nothing.

At least a million projects and ideas go through my head

everyday....

i could "easily" do any number of them....

by "easily" i mean ...

i have all the supplies i need  and creativity to make some great  stuff.

but the part that doesnt come easily...

STARTING.

I'm not a lazy person...

i just have this weight that holds me down everytime

i think of a project.

Any body else have a clue what

i'm talking about?

Any advice...???

i have a great amount of potential inside me...

i want the fear...or anxiety...or whatever it is to go away.

FOR GOOD.

stuff to paint, stuff to sew, stuff to organize...

A Paris Holiday and "S" for alpheba thursday

Something sweet from sister

Life is just so much more enjoyable when you

look forward to each new day and the possibilities

that each sunrise brings with it.

Having something to look forward to always helps.

For instance....

Yesterday my sister and i started planning our

dream trip to Paris.

It may be a couple years down the road....

but that just means we have more time to learn a lil'

French.... and more about the must see places.

We've learned that if we want this to happen...

we need to have a daily affirmation of our dream...

of our Paris Holiday.

SOOOOO...

My sister

 (the doll that she is...)

showed up at my house with a

"French Moment In a Basket"....

and i gotta say:  IT WAS DIVINE!

My lazy butt even rolled outta bed a bit

earlier this morning,  just knowing that something big

lay on the horizon... 

But  here's the thing though....

I learned something

BIGGER.

Life is magical....

not just the exciting stuff....

the lil' tedious stuff can become magical too!

It's all in the attitude we approach

something with....

I chose to fold my laundry today....

**( and if you know me....this is a big deal...

sadly, we  usually pick our outfits out of "the clean clothes piles"

on the floor)**

I went at that sucker like it was

a peaceful picnic.....

in a park ....

just for me....

i poured me a lil bit of the good Dr. (pepper)

and i  put on a good movie  (Twilight)

and i ENJOYED folding LAUNDRY....

Let me say that again...

I enjoyed laundry today.

i know, right!......

All it took was a lil' setting of the mood..

and some imagination....

 and  WALLAH!    attitude is everything...

Twinkies

My mini~me

I always wanted one of those dolls that you order to

look just like you .....

but they cost sooo much.  so i never got one.

I just had children instead.....

i coulda saved myself about 1 million  big ones

over the next 18 years.....

had i gone with the doll.

and a pooch.... and stretch marks....and bags under my eyes...

:)

but dolls don't  take care of you in your old age so...

ehhhhh..  whaddya  gonna do?

Fancy caught a Fish

My Lou lou outfished the boyz!

Sometimes we get caught up in duties....

We can easily lose sight  of  the joys in life!

Every family is different....

but for us,

We love getting out in nature and

having fun together.

hangin out at the house all the time = messes and

stress for me.

Going to local venues can mix it up and be fun sometimes.

But there is nothing like The great Outdoors for us!

Going on drives....

Hiking....fishing.....exploring...

We delight in the freedom of No Walls.

There is somethin about  family outtings

that reminds us of how fond we are of eachother and

it makes life (and our duties)  so much more

enjoyable....

(or at least tolerable)

Itsy, Bitsy, Yellow, Polka Dot, TeaParty

My Lou lou (6) threw her  own lil'

Tea Party today.

For her and her besty, Boo.

She layed out a Yellow Polka Dot Duvet

for the table cloth.

Then she added a hat box, an old camera, and a candelabra,

for the centerpiece.

As for the menu.....

A  Tasty Rainbow and

chocolate chip

Granola Bars...

and yes....

bread.????

Fancy lil' spread.

I know.

Exercise then IceCream

The only logical thing to do 

after getting lots of good exercise ...riding scooters through

Daybreak with the family....

Uh ~ huh....

ice cream.

                    We burned a lot of calories and DARN the urge to

get...them...back.

It was all 5 of us on scooters...

that was a milestone for us.

Instead of ...

"look mom,  no hands.."

I was saying...

"Look honey,  No BABIES!"

They do grow so fast.

Thank goodness!

Yah , yah,  i know....

i'll miss these days.

but for now...

IM LOVIN THE NEW PHASES WE GO THROUGH!

Rebel

Hubby just called me.

He was singing...

"bad boys, bad boys,  whatcha gonna do?

Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?"

That was not a good sign.

Since he was driving my new car ....( a 99 chevy tahoe)

(( trust me,  99 is new compared to what i been driving))

I just got it 2 days ago and it isnt registered to us yet.

But he wanted to take it to a bid he was doing.

sirens!!!!

He had no wallet.... no reg......and no proof of insurance.

and the car is still registered to someone else.

My rebel hubby.

When is he gonna learn?

Murphy just hates him and wants him to suffer.

Wax Cake

It's my Hubby's birthday today....

He is my old....

but very hot....

man.

Happy birthday baby!

I put the candles in the cake a little too early.

The cake was hot out of the  oven and they melted inside it.

(sadly... very typical of  most of my baking experiences)

Now Performing...

Lou and Bff performed at a care center

on wednesday....

they danced amazingly well...

but i was the PROUD MAMA  afterwards...

when they stayed to talk to all the men and women who

live there.  They must get so lonely...

The girls were like little  angels chatting with

and hugging them all.

Kie has seen lou practice so much ...that she could dance along

to the performance step for step.

....

and spring was in the air...

so the forts were built outside today.

i love childhood forts!

taking the time to love my babies today.

letting them know how much they mean to me.

Pearl Essence

I have been contemplating  cleaning all morning...

BUT...

After much careful consideration...

I have decided....

to just throw some pearls on the piles that await me instead....

Oh the Power of a strand of pearls....

throw in a candelabra...and WALLAH!

No more nagging dishes....

Just some cups with pearls on them....

ahhhhhhhhh...

There are misplaced toys...

and then there are butterfly catchers with pearls...

BIG DIFFERENCE!

So that was it then...

i had discovered the secret to a "pretty pile".

life had just gotten easier...

see a mess.... throw some pearls on it.

and then this happens....

ants....mice....mold....                 no pearls gonna fix this ugly!

sooo... there is something to this Pearl theory...

But let's just say:

there are some exclusions!
