Something sweet from sister
Life is just so much more enjoyable when you
look forward to each new day and the possibilities
that each sunrise brings with it.
Having something to look forward to always helps.
For instance....
Yesterday my sister and i started planning our
dream trip to Paris.
It may be a couple years down the road....
but that just means we have more time to learn a lil'
French.... and more about the must see places.
We've learned that if we want this to happen...
we need to have a daily affirmation of our dream...
of our Paris Holiday.
SOOOOO...
My sister
(the doll that she is...)
showed up at my house with a
"French Moment In a Basket"....
and i gotta say: IT WAS DIVINE!
My lazy butt even rolled outta bed a bit
earlier this morning, just knowing that something big
lay on the horizon...
But here's the thing though....
I learned something
BIGGER.
Life is magical....
not just the exciting stuff....
the lil' tedious stuff can become magical too!
It's all in the attitude we approach
something with....
I chose to fold my laundry today....
**( and if you know me....this is a big deal...
sadly, we usually pick our outfits out of "the clean clothes piles"
on the floor)**
I went at that sucker like it was
a peaceful picnic.....
in a park ....
just for me....
i poured me a lil bit of the good Dr. (pepper)
and i put on a good movie (Twilight)
and i ENJOYED folding LAUNDRY....
Let me say that again...
I enjoyed laundry today.
i know, right!......
All it took was a lil' setting of the mood..
and some imagination....
and WALLAH! attitude is everything...

How exciting!! A dream trip to Paris!! I love that you are already thinking about it and planning what you want to do. When you set something as a goal, it happens.
ReplyDeleteI trip to Paris would be wonderful. What great pictures.
ReplyDeletetotally great idea to plan something to look forward to - daydreaming while doing other boring tasks :D
ReplyDeleteHey girl!
ReplyDeleteI answered your question on my blog today :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Shelley
such a sweet thing for her to do...lovely post...Namaste
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to spend the day (the french basket, not the laundry) Although you managed to make even laundry sound fun! Great post, and I hope that you get your trip sooner rather than later :) Kathy
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful post ... maybe i should turn on a movie tommorrow and fold my laundry ... or not!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post. As I read it I glanced at my mountain of laundry on my love seat. usually stays there till the day before I wash all my clothes again. Much nicer when it is gone. I feel inspired - maybe I will fold and put it away today......or maybe I will just go bake. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeletethose pictures transport me to france too...can i come along? :)
ReplyDeleteHeavenly! Dreams, that is. When we got married 35 years ago, one of us found a cheesy little plaque that said 'eveyone needs to have something to do, something to love and something to hope for. Yours is Paris!
ReplyDeleteI read your following post and thought, surely you only view yourself as a bump. Look at the family. They can zap the energy right outa a girl. Forget the projects. Play, dream, read with them. Before you know it you won't get to. Hold the hand of that guy an extra time today and sip the next Dr. P with him. Crafts can wait; relationship can't.
You will get to Paris! Just keep on dreaming, and planning and perhaps praying! When a goal is put out there and looked at often the chances of succeeding go up a bajillion times. (scientifically speaking of course)
ReplyDeleteOoh-la-la...how fun and exciting :o) And to plan such a trip with your sister...magnifique!
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
I am getting around to more S posts...little by little :o) hope you get a chance to pop over and if you do please leave a comment so that I know you were there :o)
