Life  just cant get too much

CRAZIER around  the Hawker place.

What we SHOULD be doing is

SLOWING DOWN!!!

....

but the hardest thing of all ....for me to do is....

to pick and choose from all good things!

We had fieldtrips, a daddy homecoming, and a birthday and then...

of course  A BIRTHDAY PAR~TAY!

(oh and did i mention Bronchitus  and  Pneumonia)
(so apparently...NOT ALL good things)...



We visited a french greenhouse...

With Kade's preschool....

(only in Montessori theory preschool...will
you ever find teachers planning a fieldtrip for
3,4 and 5 year olds to a fancy French garden house
.......

chucked full of delicate, expensive, plants and statues...)

I love me some Montessori schooling!

If it weren't so darned expensive...

i would put my kids through their entire schooling in it.

It is beautiful to me ...

the respect and peace that they learn there.

The responsibility for one's own self....

the ownership of one's community...

things that this World could  definately  use more of 

these days...if you're asking my opinion.

(if you're not.....well....

Labours of Love

Happy Labour Day Weekend to YOU!

These are a few "labors" of Love i just had to share.....

Do you see that uggggly camper in the background ?

Well....

believe it or not....

that hunk o' uggggly just happens to be my

Prized Vintage Camper!

I begged hubby for her...

and surprisingly got my way...back in May.

I did a lot of work inside Her Majesty...

(thats her name)

....

But this weekend....

I "LABOuRED" over her exterior!

First she got a white prime job to cover that uggg blue...

and then:

She recieved 2 lovely coats of

Happiness!!!!!

She is a 1969 road runner....

and she has been given New Life this weekend!

The inspiration for the paint color came from

My Lou Lou's eyes...

and you thought you needed front teeth to eat corn

on the cob.....LOL

Not this girl....

where there's a will there's a way...

We have been "labouring" over grampa's

corn jungle for quite some time now....

and

FINALLY:

iT'S time to EnjOY the

FruiTS of our Labours!!!!!

gIRLS wEEKeND

I had a divine weekend away from

responsibilities...

For my sister Becca's Birthday, we took off to

LAS VEGAS

My mom and sister and i went...

We had so many good laughs!

We were very good girls ...

(i know that crossed your mind)

after all it is Las Vegas...

which translates to the devil's playground...

(not really...i made that up :)

We even spread some good Ol' Utah

charity around  Vegas...

we helped out homeless...

supported local artisans...

(NO silly!  not of the dancing arts)..

(i thought we covered that!!!)

lol

We even paid for the order of the car behind us in the

drive thru of a restaurant!

Just to spread joy and hopefully inspire!

As u can see from my pics...

we hit up the JUICY store...

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I was on cloud  9!

We will be nesting down in a home of

our own again soon...very soon...

(which is cause for a celebration of it's own!!!)

and i am very excited to decorate again...

and ..

well..

believe it or not...

The Juicy Couture store is going to be my inspiration!!!

I'm sooo in LOVE with this look!

My hubby even approves thanks to the fact that

dead animal heads fit into the theme!!!   lol

Juicy Couture has my heart in it's hands....

There is somethin about  BRIGHT SCREAMING colors

that delights and intrigues me!

it's Magical and whimsical...

Dollhouse~ish,  playful and happy!

But then there is this side of me that gets overwhelmed easily,

so i gravitate towards  more muted palettes....

Maybe ,,,  i just need  a POP!!!  on the Walls...

a spotty, patina~like, POP!

and then  muted furniture and accessories.

hmmmm

~

But i love this  creamy dreamy palette sooo much too!

i think i would get bored and start conjouring up a

way to bring in some sort of colors....

who knows????

I guess i just need  2 homes.

one that is bright and fun...

( I'll name that one .....My Nanny Mcphee house)

and another that is more subtle  and relaxing...

(I'll name this one;  My Muted House in Paris)

Sweet Tooth Fairy

At The Hawker Home;

There are just some occasions that

call for cupcakes.

and well....

2 years old and potty trained is

a REALLY, REALLY  good reason

to head to the Sweet Tooth Fairy Cupcake shop!

This lil baby is diaper free!

Seriously! 

no...more....diapers...

on anyone in our home!

The 2nd best thing about no diapers...

would have to be how cute their

tiny bum bums are in their pants with no

extra padding...

We can barely keep her drawers up now!

You never seen 3 kids so excited about

.....

the deal was...if she poo'd

in the potty...

we would all get sugar  highs!

This wall was adorable it said...

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT,

SO EAT SOMETHING CUTE!

and well...

who are we to rebel...

so we obeyed the almighty words upon the wall!

There was something delightful

everywhere you looked!

I show up to these  ingenius places

and get all ....

"why didn't i think of this" ~ish

and...

well...

i don't wanna get all

Al Gore on ya....

but i come up with these amazing ideas...

and then a few months down the road...

BAM!

iT'S opENed up and thriVING.

It's not enough just to imagine...

One must act!

we must be careful to not put our wishbones where

our back bones should be....
