The "U"nfair life of the Middle Child

A Most Magical Evening....

My Big sister Becca, gets to do all the fun stuff!

She always has been the favorite.

But I'm bitter happy for her.

.......

Last night...while i shopped in fancy boutiques hit up dirty thrift stores.....

My sister and her hubby were having dinner

at La Cai...

A Magical Oasis up near the canyons...

Upon pulling up to the restaurant ...

They were greated by this Tuscan beauty

and a car parking service.

Somewhere else...in a parallel universe....

I  was pulling up to the D.I.  (a secondhand store)

and was greated by a strange mumbling man....

This restaurant is amazing ...

It is timeless and elegant....

The grounds are kept spotless and

given the utmost attention...

i ,on the other hand, last night,   could not get someone playing

with all the cards in their deck  to get me a price on a bed frame...

My sister said the weather was perfect...yawn

and that she felt like she was in a fairytale... barf

The fresh scent of Lemon Trees was blowing on the breeze...

Luring in the exotic peacocks...

i couldn't get away from the mom with the poopy kid....

she was following me around the thrift store....stalking me ....i swear.
(My nose hairs still burn.)

There is  a  lil' island in a pond surrounded by

cobblestone paths that lead to this...

When my sisters waltzing through the gardens

was complete....

she text me this:   "thank you for the feet killers!"...

i had borrowed her my hot pink heels.

...justice at last!

They  then  gathered  for hors d'oeuvres.

On the other side of the World:

i was watching a kid eyeing old m&m's stuck to the bottom of a glass vase....

but i beat him to them.  HA!

(totally kidding!)

i gave him the green one.

Beauty surrounded there evening...

The luxury they experienced was 2nd to none!

It was like nothing she had ever experienced before....

Lets recap:

***My sister attended a charity event at a very
famous restaurant....

**I sifted through other people's  old stuff.

That they had dropped off.

as their own act of....... charity.

xoxo

P.s.  my sister is my bestest friend and i adore her and she deserved this night!

this post was all done in good fun.   I just couldnt not share the irony...thats all.  :)

good times...good times...

  3. Did you know that La Caille (correct spelling) rents out their little cottage for overnight guests? They give you a French breakfast in the morning. You totally should do it..when you are rich and stuff :)
BTW..let's check out Amber's thrift store!!

  7. I hope my own middle child doesn't suffer so later in life. With seven, which one counts as the middle? Fourth, or the five that aren't youngest or oldest?

  11. At least you have a sister. I only have one brother, three years younger and we never really had any fun times!!! We are so different - he IS a computer and so intelligent so we have very little in common!!!

At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon!
( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )

  18. Middle child here, too! I can totally relate!

What a gorgeous setting...but it can barely compare to the glamour you experienced.

    Seriously. Sharing a green M&M.

Thanks for this adorable and funny post on my little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's Letter "U"!

This was an unbelievably uplifting post.

I now feel my life is extremely glamorous in comparison since I only sift through other peoples old stuff at garage sales!

You're really funny! Thanks for linking up!
